We celebrated Earth Day on 22nd April 2021. This is an annual event which reminds people all over the world how important it is to appreciate and care for our beautiful world.
We talked about lots of topics:
- global warming
- climate change
- our carbon footprint
- pollution
- reduce, re-use, recycle
- the natural world
- deforestation and reforestation
- endangered animals
- our local flora and fauna
We made some Earth Day Art, to show what we can do to help our world.
In the afternoon the Senior Classes went for a Nature Walk to Turbet Island. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, and we saw lots of spring wild flowers including primroses, violets, bluebells, daisies and dandelions.
